Summer 2026 to Spring 2027 — “The Past is Personal”: This exhibit urges visitors to consider their role in our nation's history as we mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Explore concepts of commemoration and community through the lenses of remembering and perspective, and make connections to both the past, and the people around you. Drawing upon the Utah Historical Society's semiquincentennial project, the Peoples of Utah Revisited, this exhibit broadens the lens on Utah's history and shares the stories of the past through the present.

“We will be able to have Utahns see for the first time, in one place, a connected story about our State’s history and the different elements that have made our state the success that it is.”

-Brad Wilson, Former Speaker of the House (Utah)
