Know Before You Go
Admission: Entry is free and open to the public. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, museum staff may briefly limit gallery access if building capacity is reached. We will also have a variety of community partner booths set up on the north plaza of the Capitol Complex facilitating family-friendly activities for you to enjoy.
Parking & Transportation: Free parking is available throughout the Capitol Complex. Due to the high anticipated turnout, we strongly recommend using Uber, Lyft, or public transportation. We will be offering a free shuttle from downtown Salt Lake City up to the Capitol Complex every 20 minutes. The shuttle pick up will be located in the parking lot of the North Office Building for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (125 N State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84150). The shuttle will drop off at the bus loop near the east entrance to the Utah State Capitol. From there, you will follow the signs north to the Museum of Utah.
Food & Drink: Enjoy a variety of local flavors from on-site food trucks available all day. A covered outdoor seating area will be provided for your convenience. Eating food inside the North Capitol Building will not be permitted. We will have water stations throughout the event, so bring a reusable bottle to fill up and stay hydrated.
Weather: This event is rain or shine and happening during summer in Utah. Prepare for dry heat. Wear sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, and anything else you need to feel comfortable. Indoor spaces will be air conditioned and temperature controlled. The Utah State Capitol will be open to those who need to cool down and escape the sun.
