Take a piece of Utah history home with you by collecting all 10 commemorative pin designs from partner locations across the state. The Utah Pin Quest is a fun incentive to explore some of Utah’s cultural spaces and discover new stories you might not have heard before. Each of the state’s museums, visitor centers, state parks, and historic sites help bring Utah’s story to life. We invite you to celebrate that with us by visiting a few new places or old favorites this fall and picking up a free collectible pin while supplies last. Download our digital brochure here.

- Visit one of our 37 partner locations statewide (list below) to pick up your free one-of-a-kind pin
- Pins are first come, first served
- Each partner location will have signage (example to the left) indicating they are a pickup site
- Each partner location will only have one pin design, so you will need to travel to complete your set
- Parter locations are based in 20 counties across Utah, increasing the opportunity for statewide participation
- NEW! – Each partner location will have 10 of their pins set aside for UHS members until Oct. 17, or when supplies run out

Loving The Utah Pin Quest? You will have even more ways to explore Utah’s history when the Museum of Utah opens in June 2026 on the Utah Capitol Complex. As Utah’s first dedicated state history museum, the Museum of Utah will celebrate our unique history, culture, and art through world class exhibits, programming, and community spaces. The Museum of Utah will serve as a trailhead to other cultural experiences, encouraging statewide heritage tourism to learn more about the topics and themes introduced within our galleries.

Please note: Each partner location has different hours of operation and visitation details. Please click the ‘plan your visit’ links below to coordinate. Together with our partners, we work to keep this list up-to-date; however, we recommend contacting the sites directly if you are curious about pin availability. When a site runs out of pins, they will be removed from the list below.
Bonneville Cutthroat Trout – Utah’s state fish. The Bonneville Cutthroat Trout was historically found in the Bonneville Basin.
- Hyrum City Museum | 50 W Main St., Hyrum. Plan your visit.
Brine Shrimp – Utah’s state crustacean. Brine shrimp are a valuable food source to migratory birds that congregate in and around the Great Salt Lake.
- Historic Wendover Airfield Museum | 352 Airport Way, Wendover. Plan your visit.
California Gull (Seagull) – Utah’s state bird. The California Gull (Seagull) is commemorated for its role in saving the Mormon pioneers from a plague of katydids in 1848.
- Golden Spike National Historical Park | 6200 North 22300 W., Corinne. Plan your visit.

Fry Sauce – Created in the late 1940s by Don Carlos Edwards, founder of Utah-based fast-food chain, Arctic Circle. Fry sauce is a mix of ketchup, mayonnaise, and other spices.
- Fairview Museum of History & Art | 85 North 100 E., Fairview. Plan your visit.
Golden Eagle – Utah’s state bird of prey. Golden Eagles are most commonly found in mountain regions and play an important role in Utah’s ecosystems.
- McQuarrie Memorial Pioneer Museum | 145 North 100 E., St. George. Plan your visit. *Limited pins still available.
Green Jell-O – Utah’s state snack food. In 1997, Kraft released sales figures revealing Salt Lake City to have the highest per-capita Jell-O consumption.
- Bear River Migratory Refuge Center | 2155 West Forest St., Brigham City. Plan your visit.

- Southern Utah Museum of Art | 13 South 300 W., Cedar City. Plan your visit.
- SUMA won’t be handing out pins until Oct. 18 and will hold the 10 pins for UHS members until Oct. 31.
Porcini Mushroom – Utah’s state mushroom. The Porcini Mushroom can be found in Utah’s mid-to-high-elevation conifer forests and provides 70–80 percent of all the nutrients a tree needs to survive in the forest.
- The Museum of Uintah County (formerly Uintah County Heritage Museum) | 155 East Main St., Vernal. Plan your visit.
Sego Lily – Utah’s state flower. Some Native American Tribes from the region consider the plant sacred, and its edible bulbs were an important food source for the Tribes and later settlers.
- Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum | 660 West 400 N., Blanding. Plan your visit.
Sugar Beet – Utah’s state historic vegetable. Utah achieved prominence in nineteenth-century America for its efforts to produce sugar from sugar beets. The production of beet sugar contributed to Utah’s economy for almost 100 years.
