Ghost Nights

Both nights start promptly at 7 pm with a guided tour along the historic streets and ruins of Silver Reef to visit with 7 Ghostorical Characters who will tell you about the life and times they knew. Sturdy shoes and flashlights are recommended since some of the trails you will be walking on have uneven terrain and steep slopes. Both nights will be dark skies (no moon). The program continues rain or clear skies (it has only briefly rained once during the last 16 Ghost Night events). If rain is in the forecast, though, be sure to bring appropriate rain attire.

Last 45 Minutes – Pick & Choose Activities

We call it Pick & Choose since you will probably not have enough time to do them all. We do ask that each person who goes on a hike (Family Ghost & Dark Side) have their own flashlight and be aware that there is rocky and steep terrain out there, in the dark. Choose from the following varied activities.

*Museum & Powder House

See the coolest part of our exhibit, done up like a real mine. Your guide will take you through to safety.
Bring your camera so our warden can take a picture of you and the other inmates of the historic jail.

ADULTS ONLY Our guide will take off the historical gloves on this hike through Silver Reef and the 1800’s.
No better place for a ghost story than out on the desert in the dark. No facts here, just stories.

As always we will have cider, cookies, and other delights to fuel your furnace for the rest of the night’s events.
Both will be open and have hosts on hand to answer any remaining questions you might have on Silver Reef.
