Arvada Springs Lecture

October 25, 2019 @ 6:00 am - 7:00 am

Please join us this Friday, October 25 in welcoming Mark Rawlins, owner and manager of Aravada Springs Ranch as he speaks with us on the history of the ranch from 1910 to present day.  Mark Rawlins, great-grandson of the first owner George “Luke” Whitney purchased the ranch in 2017 making him the fourth descendant to own it.

Aravada Springs is approximately 30 miles from the Bunkerville/Riverside exit off Interstate 15 and as the road meanders towards Aravada Springs the following says it like it is, “Somewhere in the middle of nowhere … where asphalt turns to dirt and dirt becomes the wilderness. It’s a place of isolation … and utter freedom”.

And a “Spoiler Alert”, this lecture will dove-tail and give us some highlights for one of next year’s first field trips that will take us to Gold Butte NM and a visit to Aravada Springs!

One more item of interest, for those who attend we will be presenting the winner of “Milt’s Question of the Day” challenge a giveaway from our gift shop!!

We look forward to seeing you all this Friday, October 25 at 12 pm (noon) for another installment of the Marilyn Davis Brown Bag Series Lecture.

Reserve your seat by calling the Public Lands Information Center at 435-688-3200, via email at bswensen@d-asia.org or sign up in person at 345 East Riverside Drive
