Abstract:Early in 1988, the INF Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union went into effect. In July, a small cadre of Soviet on-site inspectors arrived in Salt Lake City to begin their activities as continuous portal monitors of the Hercules Rocket Motor Plant at Magna, Utah. The Soviet/Russian inspectors were invited to participate in many educational, civic, and social events. The collection contains correspondence files relating to the civic and social activities of the Russian inspectors at Magna, Utah from 1988-1992 as well as a history of the INF Treaty and its implications.

Background Note

Early in 1988, the INF Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union went into effect.
