Nine Mile Canyon Stewardship Day

Mark your Calendars! It’s time for Nine Mile Canyon Stewardship Day 2019. Bring your friends and family to experience the beauty that Nine Mile Canyon holds. Archaeologists, students, and volunteers will be hosting seven historic and prehistoric sites throughout the canyon. This event is completely free! Yes, free. Come learn about the ancient peoples of Nine Mile Canyon and get a chance to talk with some of Utah’s finest archaeologists.

Our goal for this event is all about education. By pulling back the veil of secrecy and not only showing, but educating you about these precious and irreplaceable archaeological sites – we hope that you’ll walk away more enlightened, with a better understanding of why these sites are important, and why they should be protected and preserved for future generations.
