Guided Hike of the Petroglyphs at the Santa Clara Reserve

This event will be a guided hike along the Santa Clara River, starting at the Tukupetsi Trailhead. This trail meanders along the Santa Clara River in a beautiful riparian setting. More than 90 rock imagery panels have been recorded in this location. The hike will discuss what we know about these panels, what archeologists do to record them and our strategies to protect such unique, invaluable resources. The hike will be relatively easy, a total of 2-3 miles. Please bring hat, water, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, and a camera! This event will follow May 2021 CDC guidelines for Covid 19. Meet at the Tukupetsi Trailhead off Santa Clara Drive in the City of Ivins, Utah. This trailhead is down the same road at the Santa Clara Public Works yard.
