Join Davis County for the 22nd Annual Great Salt Lake Bird Festival, hosted at the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area on May 14 through 17. Conference highlights the incredible biodiversity of the Great Salt Lake, with this year’s highlighting of the Northern Harrier. There are activities for adults and youth from birding adventures to hands-on fun, and the keynote of the festival is author of the Guide to Woodpeckers. For those interested in History, Jaimi Butler of the Great Salt Lake Institute at Westminster College will be teaming up with the Utah Division of State History for a public presentation on the biology, history, and archaeology of the Great Salt Lake. The festival and conference are free to attend but field trips, workshops and tours may require registration and a cost, so check out the website for more details.
