May 10, 2021

Free

We have a full month of planned of activities planned to celebrate. We will explore Utah’s rich architectural history with a seven-part lecture series – Chapters of Utah’s Architectural History – that spans from the early Ancestral Puebloans reaching all the way into the mid 20th century to explore modernism. These lectures will be release throughout the month, see below for more information on their release date and theme. We end the month with History Sessions. Join us as we explore the history of a downtown Salt Lake City establishment, Lake Effect, while enjoying food and drink. Tickets are required and space is limited (a digital version is also available – tickets still required).

This lecture illustrates how mountain men facilitated Utah’s initial pioneer settlement through forts and trading posts they constructed at key sites along pioneer trails and settlement areas.
