Salt Lake City Engineers Photograph Collection provides an excellent look at the Progressive Era in Utah and the West. The collection covers 1902 to about 1932 and documents the construction of the infrastructure in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, including roads, sewers, irrigation systems, curb and gutters, street lighting, street repairs, comfort stations, mills, dams, reservoirs, bridges, etc.

1,000 glass plate negatives have been digitized for this collection, supported through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
