The Silver Reef Museum features artifacts of the Reef - the only place in the world where silver was intruded into a sandstone outcrop. Two miles NW is the USFS Leeds Creek Kiln picnic site.

In 1851, Brigham Young sent missionaries to Cedar City to develop an iron industry. The first iron mine in the state is located a few blocks to the east - entry fee $3.00.
