National Register – Order a Marker
Historic Marker
Placing a marker on a historic building recognizes the significance of a property and helps educate the public.
Owners of buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, either individually or within a Historic District, may order an official plaque or marker to place on their building.
You must fill out an order form and return it with a check for the size of plaque you would like.
Costs are:
$442 for a 15” x 19” marker
$209 for an 8” x 10” marker
$103 for a 4 ¾ x 6” marker
Staff will write the text for the marker and send it to you for approval.
