Thomas James Davies (1866-1947) was born in Salt Lake City and raised ten
children in the area with his wife Alice W. Earl (1867-1941). Two of the Davies
children are represented in the collection: the seventh child, Ruth Davies
(1910-1979), and the youngest child, Alice Jane Davies Griffin (1900-1984).
Alice married Hyrum Dewey Griffin in 1920. A 1978 photograph of Hyrum and Alice
Griffin and their children is included in the collection.
