Scope and Content

The collection consists of Thirty-One Four, the staff publication of the Continental
Bank and Trust Company of Salt Lake City, Utah, between 1953 and 1956. The
newsletter's name is from the bank's transit number that appeared in the top right
corner of its checks. Each newsletter highlights the major financial and business
trends of the era, political issues, and corporate news. The newsletter also
includes the private lives of employees by highlighting anniversaries, awards,
 hobbies, and family life.

The collection is incomplete and includes some gaps, as noted in the container list
below. It is grouped by volume number and arranged in chronological order.
