The Athletic Club Germania, a sports club, was organized in 1927 by Heinz Helmuth Rimmasch, Kurt Westman and Max Frohm. The official language of the club was German. "Germania's" main accomplishment was to introduce soccer to the Salt Lake Valley. The collection contains photographs of the Germania Club playing soccer, Highland High and West High School athletes as well as a photograph of Hermann Neumann, "Utah's Soccer Czar." |

Background Note
The Athletic Club Germania, a sports club, was organized in 1927 by Heinz Helmuth Rimmasch, Kurt Westman and Max Frohm. The official language of the club was German. "Germania's" main accomplishment was to introduce soccer to the Salt Lake Valley. Hermann Neumann was the radio voice of soccer for years.
