		  <p>John Maylon Thatcher (1920-2000) was the son of Hyrum B. and Eurilda
			 Hansen Thatcher. Born and raised in Logan, Utah, Thatcher was a staff sergeant
			 in the Pacific Theatre of World War II from 1941-1946. Thatcher served Logan
			 city as a firefighter for the Logan City Fire Department, where he served many
			 years as the Logan City Fire Marshall.</p>
