		  <p>The Brighton North Point-Irrigation Company is located near
			 Taylorsville in Salt Lake County and takes its water from the Jordan River. It
			 was originally incorporated in 1882 but its charter was allowed to lapse in
			 1932. The company continued to function without benefit of legal sanction until
			 27 July 1944. In 1944, the company was reincorporated assuming the name of its
			 predecessor as well as the old water rights.</p>
