The Utah State Historical Society has great educational resources for teachers and community groups.

  • Lesson plans are designed to use Utah Historical Quarterly articles to learn more about local, state and the
    nation's history.

  • Teaching kits provide hands-on experiences for the classroom setting and other groups.

  • Photograph exhibits are available on a variety of historic themes.

  • Outreach programs provide lectures to classrooms and community groups.

  • Web Sites: The Historical Society publishes two additional web sites that are valuable teaching and learning
    resources.

Utah History For Kids provides history information for students doing history reports as well as activities
appropriate for classroom use. This is also an excellent resource for teachers.

Utah History To Go is the story of Utah's history, from its geological beginnings to modern society. It also
includes special interest features. This site is a tremendous resource for older students and teachers wishing
to increase their knowledge on Utah history.
