History Currents has been discontinued.

In order to create better online services for its many customers; statewide, nationwide, and worldwide, State History has stopped publishing the newspaper History Currents.

Please see letter below from State History director Philip F. Notarianni.

October 22, 2007

Dear Patron,

The Utah Division of State History has been proud to publish the History Currents newspaper for the past four years.
We have placed Currents in libraries, museums, and schools, and we have also sent it to members of the Utah State
Historical Society.

However, History Currents has reached only a relatively small number of people. Because State History has the mandate
to serve as many people as possible, we have decided to discontinue publishing History Currents and to focus our
efforts and resources on our web site. Through this web site we hope to more effectively and efficiently engage, inform,
and assist the public statewide, and even worldwide.

In order to do this, we will undertake a major renovation of the site during the next year. We welcome any comments
you may have about the site!

Sincerely,
Philip F. Notarianni
Director, State History
