| Comments: | The earliest Plymouth Cemetery is on one of the hills east of Washakie where about eleven graves may still be seen. The headstones have crumbled and many are unidentifiable. One lone grave lies east of Plymouth on the old John Masonland. A headstone identitifes it as the grave of a Mr. Cole, who was an early resident of Plymouth. On July 12, 1984, Bishop Thomas Archibald, George Smith, James Burnett, William Archibald, and Don Lamb started the present cemetery. Thomas Nish, Samuel Pierson, and Leon Rose assisted them. The first ones buried in the cemetery included nine children who died of diptheria: Thomas and Melissa Nish; John George; Charles and Sarah Ann Clark; James Smith; Mary and Sylvia Nis; and Eugene Levit. |
