These groups are working to preserve Utah’s priceless archaeology.

Utah Statewide Archaeological Society (USAS): USAS is for people who want to learn more about archaeology and the state’s prehistoric cultures. With several chapters around the state, USAS members study and preserve Utah’s past.

Utah Rock Art Research Association (URARA): People who love rock art have joined together to preserve rock art, encourage the appreciation of rock art sites, and help study, present and publish rock art research.

Utah Professional Archaeological Council (UPAC) Professional archaeologists and serious avocational archaeologists can join this organization, which is dedicated to maintaining and promoting the goals of professional archaeology in Utah.

Colorado Plateau Archaeological Alliance (CPAA) This is not a “join” but a “join-with” organization dedicated to protecting the archaeological and historical treasures of the American Southwest.

The Society for American Anthropology is an organization of avocational and professional archaeologists and students. It’s dedicated to the research, interpretation, and protection of the archaeological heritage of the Americas.
