The Division of State History is an agency of Utah state government. We were created by state statutes (UCA 9-8) and
are governed by statutes and administrative rules (R212). As the State Historic Preservation Office, we also comply with
the the Federal Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (16 USC 470) and by Federal Regulations (36 CFR 61) as currently amended.
